We recently had the pleasure of working with Allens Lane Art Center in Philadelphia. Leah and I have been big fans of the Art Center for some time now, and were really happy to get the chance to work with them. They are a thriving center for the arts in Northwest Philly, offering a wide variety of classes, concerts, camps, theater performances, and other special events in their newly-rennovated facility. They also have a terrific gallery that includes a variety of fine art media.

Our job was to capture in photographs their current production of “Bee-luther-hatchee,” a drama that explores the interweaving issues of race, art, memory and grief.
Leah and I enjoy working with art organizations not only because we believe in what they do, and we want to be a part of their success, but also because it’s always fun to see how our work can complement the work of other artists.
The play was written by Thomas Gibbons, and directed by Daniel Student (pictured below as he watches the dress rehearsal).
