Leaving Brazil

By the time we get home tomorrow, we will have traveled about 13,000 miles in eight days. While in Brazil, we traveled over three thousand miles to three different cities — each with its own unique culture and climate.

This evening, we will begin the final five thousand-mile leg of our trip back to Philly. It will be great to be in one place for more than two days.

But I won’t get too comfortable, because on Friday, I will join a team from the First Presbyterian Church in Germantown for a trip down to Pearlington, Mississippi. We will be continuing work that we began there after hurricane Katrina. So check back in the next week for new stories from Brazil and the Gulf Coast.
