I am often asked for the story behind a particular photo that captures someone’s imagination. So every once in a while, I’ll post one of those photos on the blog and give some brief background info.
This photo was taken at a state park in Denver, Colorado. Some friends of mine were going cliff-jumping (that’s where you jump off a cliff…usually into water).
The photo is actually a composite of five different photos. Luckily, the Canon 40D can shoot in RAW mode at 6.5 frames per second. And luckily, there were some cool clouds. And luckily, my friend jumped off a cliff. And luckily, no one pressured me to jump because they wanted me to just sit there and take pictures.
I photographed this guy’s wedding the next day [insert your joke here, probably something about taking a plunge, or jumping in with both feet].
