Musicopia is a nonprofit organization that works with over one hundred professional musicians to conduct music education programs in schools throughout the Philadelphia region. We spent a lot of time watching (and photographing) Musicopia at work, and we were inspired by their joy, creativity, compassion and dedication to music and, most of all, to the students.
Our job was to help Musicopia build a stock of photos that capture those qualities so that they can more effectively communicate that work through their website, presentations, videos, brochures, year-end reports, and other marketing materials.
As many schools move to cut the budgets of their music programs, it’s reassuring to know that an organization like Musicopia is working in those schools to advocate for and build enthusiasm about music, to offer music classes, convene assemblies, and organize concerts.
